Music has been woven into Sam Kapu's life for generations. A fourth-generation musician on both sides of his family, Sam comes from a rich legacy of Hawaiian music and storytelling. His great-grandfather, Rev. Samuel Kapu, was a prolific songwriter of the early 1900s. His grandfather, Samuel Kapu Sr., performed with the legendary Hawaii Calls radio broadcast, helping share the music of Hawaiʻi with audiences around the world. His father, Sam Kapu Jr., became a well-known radio personality and recording artist, best known for the Hawaiʻi hit "Chotto Matte Kudasai."

Carrying that legacy forward, Sam has spent nearly four decades entertaining audiences throughout Hawaiʻi and beyond. A singer, songwriter, and performer, he has appeared at venues, festivals, corporate events, and private functions across the islands, as well as in California and Nashville.

His debut album, Sam Kapu the Third, earned two Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award nominations for Male Vocalist of the Year and Contemporary Album of the Year. His follow-up release, Lineage, was nominated for Album of the Year at the Hawaiian Music Awards. His latest single, 33 Miles, is available on all major streaming platforms, with new music currently in production.

Beyond the stage, Sam's greatest passion is serving people. He is the founding pastor of Voyager Church Hawaiʻi, where he has spent decades helping others discover hope, faith, and purpose in Christ.

Sam and his wife Jaime have been married since 1997 and are blessed with four children and three grandchildren. Whether leading worship, performing island favorites, sharing original music, or serving his community, Sam's heart remains the same: to honor his heritage, uplift others, and share aloha through song.
